The solutions for the quality management, available at the market place, shall not meet the needs of the enterprises. In this appreciation, THIEMT develops its own solutions.
Miscellanous – Problem
The requirements to the quality management are varying from enterprise to enterprise, resp. from branch to branch.
Next to the standardised analytics, in a comparison of enterprises, variations with reference to the analysis methods resp. the designated parameters, are found.
For special applications, perhaps the market place does not offer devices. In this case, specific custom-made developments can be the solution.
Additionally the effort requires an increasing efficiency for individual solutions.
In the lab, many activities are of manual kind. Semi- or fully-automatic operations are reducing the effort, but must be fitted to the current enterprise.

THIEMT Special Developments
We are equipped with special developments in these departments:
Forcing test – THIEMT Forcing tester
Forcing-tester are serving for the classification of the abiological durability of beers. The beer bottles shall be exposed alternately to temperatures from 0 and 40 resp. 0 und 60°C in a specific time. In this case, the extent of the cloudiness is a degree for the aging of the beer.
The discovery, that the for decades implemented forcer test, by use of conventional devices, leads to results of a defective reproducibility, disposed THIEMT to get to the causes.
The completion of own test series with conventional devices had shown, to receive different results, with the same charge at various measuring points in spite of identical temperatures.
This only admits to declare itself by the different heat quantity at the respective measuring points. Added to that, the values are not only varying inside of one device, but also between devices of different manufacturers.
The significance of such values is to consider consequently critical.

Malt-analysis/imaging

The malting of barley is associated with biochemical changes. Among this, glucan abundant cell walls will be dismantled. The degradation of the cell walls can be visualised by chemicals and UV-light. THIEMT had developed an image processing application, that enables the digital analysis.
THIEMT Product Studies
THIEMT had realised different product studies and acquired a specific knowledge at that.
It was researched within the automation of analyses, how the accuracy of the measurement results can be elevated by changing the major analysis method.
Following product studies were implemented:
- Automated photometrical titrations (Citric acid- and phosphoric acid- titrations)
- Automated pH- and conductivity- titrations
- Online-analysis of packaging (weight, torque, sampling and analysis)
