Mash Bath TMB

With the THIEMT Mash Bath TMB, individual mash methods are also realisable, beside the lab usual ones. The standard programms Hartong and Congress, described by MEBAK and EBC, are hard-preinstalled; an addition about further, individual programms is possible, in an unlimited number.
The handling of the TMB, optionally, takes place direct at the device or by the TQS-Software via PC.
2 versions are available: manual or automatic (TMB plus) water dosage. The mash bath is designed ergonomically and completely made of stainless steel.

Analysis

Congress- and Hartong-Methods are standardized methods to the extraction of different analyses key figures.

Congress-Method:

Mashing, by passing through a temperature programm
Use of malt-fine grind and –coarse grind
Detection of the absolute number of the extract content, by use of the Plato-Table. In addition to the identifcation of the saccharification time (Iodine- normality), protein content, viscosity, pH-value a.o.. Difference between fine- and coarse grind extract, permits a conclusion to the cytolytical solution of the malt.

Hartong-Method:

Mashing at constant temperature (20°, 45°, 65° or 80° C)
Use of malt-fine grind
Detection of a ratio (VZ) = percentage share of the highest possible extract yield at the chosen temperature. Conclusions about the enzyme activity, protein modification of the malt and malting work by itself, are possible.

In addition, numerous, individual mash methods for the most different experiments, are existing. Let the Lauter-Test be mentioned, for example.

The Mash Bath TMB

The Mash Bath TMB was specially-developed by THIEMT, in order to use individual programms in an infinite number, beside the standardized.

Configuration:

Complete fabrication of stainless steel. The standard version picks up to 8 samples.
The case design considers ergonomic aspects: the bend casing top section relieves the insight and the access to the stirrers and mash cups.

Functions:

In addition to the standardized mash methods, Congress and Hartong,individual temperature programms, in a range of 20° C to 80° C (0<20° C with seperate circulation cooler), are able to run.
Stirrer speed (option) and automated water dosage (only TMB plus) are programmable.
The heating-up of the temper bath takes place automatically by integrated heating elements, the cooling by intake of fresh water, automatically regulated. Specific cooling water baths or circulation cooler can be connected, if a temperature below the fresh water temperature is required.

Control:

The mash bath-control takes place by the control panel or in connection with a PC.
Direct selection of 6 programms by preselection keys, allocable individually.
5 standard programms (Congress- and Hartong-Mash method) are already programmed.

Control and Individual Programms by use of TQS

The mash bath disposes of ist own control system with resident programms (standalone). Variant method courses can be programmed individually by the TQS-Software. As well, the mash bath will be connected with a PC.

Calibration:

The comparison of determined values by a measuring device, with those of a reference or a normal, is referred to as calibration.

PowerCut:

After a voltage breakdown, the device activates itself again and continues the step in place, it was interrupted before, resp. breaks off the test. The PowerCut function is adjustable individually: In addition to the activation, resp. deactivation, the max. dead time, according to a desired continuation of the measurement, resp. a break, is selectable.
